Title: Please read this it will help you
Description: it's all about love

kobe - August 14, 2006 02:24 PM (GMT)
Hi how are you doing? I would like to share something I read to you because this is something I think will help you it has touched me deeply....
Before you read it please take a few moments to calm down your mind...your heart. After reading feel free to share by posting. Please take time to read it.

"Wants and needs are separate substances. Wants are frivolous, itchy, plundering, often greedy that are never satisfied. Meet one want, and there are two more to replace it.

People want sympathy; they need empathy
People want riches; they need fulfillment
People want big cars and expensive homes; they need transportation and shelter.
People want fame; they need recognition
People want power; they need support and cooperation
People want to dominate; they need influence and guide
People want prestige; they need respect
Children want freedom and permissiveness; they need discipline
People want make-believe relationships; they need honesty and reality
People want ease and comfort; they need achievement and work
People want adoration; they need love

So let's say, " to the degree you give others what they need, they will give you what you need."
Let's think about that. What do people really need? What do you and I really need? To discover that, we must become rather close. But we can do that.
I would like to be your friend. That means I must open up and disclose myself to you. When I do that, you will not only know me, but you will also get to know yourself a lot better. And others. This is called "relating"
That's how you will discover what others need so that you can apply our formula: "To the degree you give to others what they need, they will give you what you need."Relate.Open up.Remove you mask, and others will remove theirs.

Knowing me is knowing you

Let me remove my mask. You will see what I mean. For as I talk of myself and the things I need, you will discover that I am also talking about you an the things you need. I'll begin by saying:

"Love me!
"Give me someone, as I wander through life, who cares about me-someone who picks me out of the crowd, notices me, remembers me, makes me believe I'm special."
THis is the plea churning about within every human being. It is the greatest hunger of life.
Love is the mainspring of the heart. It is the meaning, the joy, the valleys and the mountains of being.
Love freshens the body, nourishes the soul, shapes the spirit, and glorifies the mind. It is the laughter of heart, the sunrise of each moment.
Above all else, love is an emotion. That's why it it so vital to the pulse of life. For people are emotional beings. Everything they do is shaped by their emotions.
I wish I could tell you more about emotions, classify them, establish them in the order of their intensity, and find words to make them completely understandable. But that would be a little like trying to describe what a mushroom tastes like. It is impossible.
I only know about my feelings. Not yours. We can never know exactly how another person feels. I can laugh with you in your laughter, cry with you in your sorrow, rejoice with you in your happiness, or fret with you in your despair. That is empathy. But neither of us can feel exactly the same way the other feels. Only you know about your feelings. And only I know about mine. But if we can talk to each other about our inner selves, we'll be able to compare, understand, and accept who we are significantly better. And that will help us in getting along with each other-and the people close to us.

After reading I thought this is exactly how I feel in life. Life's about giving and the more you give the more you receive. Try it with the people around you, at home, at work, at school, you will notice results if you open your hearts and eyes.

Whoa!! That's so D & M mate!! o.0

But yeah I guess it's pretty true ... just not something people generally think about lolz ... hmmmmm ...

xmz - August 16, 2006 01:00 AM (GMT)
i think this is realy deep and it expresses beautifully the feeling that some of us have deep inside but yet couldn't find the words to express it so well. And yet he did try to express his feeling in words.

Once i heard a sentence and i can't remember exactly how it went but it was something like. your thoughts and feelings can never fully be descriped by words, cause there aren't even enough (existing) words in this world to descripe them good enough. Some words in your mind can't be easily formed but yet to express them is the hard part. sometimes it just can't be done. we can only try to discripe them as good as possible in the hope that the other will understand your feelings and thoughts ^_^

kobe - August 16, 2006 04:22 PM (GMT)
I think that best way to describe your feelings is by your actions. I mean words are important, but there's something about a hug, a kiss,...a smile that cannot be put into words.. Don't you agree?

- † - - August 17, 2006 04:04 AM (GMT)
Definitely!! It's a bit like the concept of a picture is worth more than a thousand words!! =P

And the way you form words are important too, for example ... if I said "I love you" in a mechanical, roboty voice it wouldn't really have the same effect on the recipient than if I said it using a diff tone ... so yeah body language and tone can mean a lot in terms of expressing one's feelings!!

xmz - August 18, 2006 04:59 PM (GMT)
body language is very important. body language makes out the biggest part of the messege. even if you have the right tone, it is also right to have the right body language too otherwise people won't really believe you :P:

kobe - August 20, 2006 02:35 PM (GMT)
But, even if you have the "right body language" and "right tone" you could still fool someone into thinking that you love them as well..... love is so complicated..... *sigh* lolz.

- † - - August 20, 2006 09:27 PM (GMT)
Yeah I guess ... some pplz are really good at acting and I'll bet that what's going on in their minds is very different to their actions!! =S

kobe - August 21, 2006 02:01 PM (GMT)
Just think of all of the famous actors. All of them are basically "experts" at faking emotions, right? Even, Hu Ge.... ^_^

- † - - August 21, 2006 03:09 PM (GMT)
o.0 ... is that why actors rarely have lasting relationships lolz?! =P

Hmmmm ... makes sense really ... money can't buy love and happiness ... I guess moral of the story is to avoid the acting profession lolz!! XP

kobe - August 21, 2006 05:00 PM (GMT)
That's a good conclusion. Never thought of it that way. No wonder they are always breaking up and making up. But, they shouldn't stop the acting career. That would make life boring if there weren't any more movies and series!!! lolzz...

haha i think that is one reason why some actors never date actors cause you will never really know what is real and what not. but would you date an actor?? for instance if hu ge would ask you to go out with him would you really go??? :P:

kobe - August 22, 2006 01:15 AM (GMT)
Hmm... I think if you ask any girl at this forum they would say yes no matter what! even if it's not true...lolz. Okay XMZ would you still date Hu Ge if he asked you out?????lolzz

xmz - August 22, 2006 02:09 AM (GMT)
kekeke........... i would think about it :P: :P: ^_^ :P:

Lolz ... that's not true ... in the very unlikely circumstance that such a thing should happen ... I would say no lolz!! But that's prob just me!! XP Lolz ... the thought makes me laugh ... someone like Hu Ge asking someone like me out?! LOLZ!!! XP

Xiao Ming, you should def say yes!! XD We're behind you 100% lolz!!! XP

Think about it? Stop being so "humble" you would definitely go for it! lolzzzz.
Maybe we should start a poll or something, I bet you that it would be 99.9% yes's.
the .1% would be - † -. hahahalolzz.

xmz - August 22, 2006 04:35 PM (GMT)
haha thank you for your support but i think in the end i would say no cause i don't really know him :P: only from what the papers tell about him and the info from this site  . haha i think i am a little to realistic to just say yes cause he is hu ge :P: i don't know what the others would do who are on this site kekeke.

so i wouldn't say no right a way or so but i wouldn't say yes either kekeke think i need to get to know him better first :P: think

kobe - August 22, 2006 08:33 PM (GMT)
I wonder how many other people think like you? I guess when it comes to emotions it is not easy to deal with..lolzzz. So, trust is also important when it comes to love. ^_^

- † - - August 24, 2006 04:53 AM (GMT)
MUAHAHAHA!!! How old are you by the way kobe?? XP

And no lolz ... I think a lot of pplz would have said what Xiao Ming did! =D Or at least the smart and realistic pplz lolz ...

~Sw33tz~ - August 24, 2006 07:44 AM (GMT)
i think most will go 'know him first' and THEN answer.....
i mean... yes he IS hu ge... but he is one damn good actor... so u never know... hehe! might be just tricking ya dat devil...

but getting to know him better then decide... goes for every relationship loor

kobe - August 24, 2006 02:01 PM (GMT)
hahahaha I was just poking fun of u gals. I know that you have to someone before liking them of course!!!..lolzz emotions are not something to fool with.
I'm 22 years old, so of course I know love is not something easy to deal with!!!!

- † - - August 25, 2006 06:15 AM (GMT)
Lolz ... isn't that what everyone says?? =P

I think everyone should feel the same way but many pplz try to hide it ... dunno why ... unkool??? o.0 ... who knows ... pplz are getting weirder these days ...

MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! 22 eh Kobe?? Hmmmm ... XP

kobe - August 25, 2006 02:05 PM (GMT)
Actually, I think that it's always been like this when it comes to emotions!!! lolz.
When boys are young they are taught to "be strong" & hide emotions. You know...the "men don't cry" saying. I guess it is society. I'm different. I think that you should express what u are feeling. It's a lot better then keeping it all inside. u would be like a big ticking bomb walking around waiting to explode trying to keep all your emotions inside. lolllzzz :irratated: hahahaha!!!

xmz - August 25, 2006 08:45 PM (GMT)
you know society has changed. there are more women nowadays who prefer the more sensitive guys kekeke who can express there feelings sow -hint-hint- :P: :P:

kobe - August 26, 2006 01:33 AM (GMT)
heheheh, I guess I'm lucky....u could say. I'm sensitive i admit., But in a good way. lolzz. xmz, it seems like u like me or something? lolzzzzzzz.

- † - - August 26, 2006 04:16 AM (GMT)
ROFL!! XD

Man dude you're a step ahead of even me ... I hadn't finished gathering info yet so I just didn't say anything!! XP <---- nvm ... ignore the rambling ... -.-" ... lolz!! XD

Anywayzzz .... lolz ... have you guys seen "Dead White Males"?? I'd assume not ... coz it's an Aussie play ... but it explores ideologies, like liberal humanist ideals against postmodernism ...

Basically one element it talked about [through the characters] was the issue of "what sort of guys a girl would like" ... and wellz ... coz the undercurrents of the play were liberal humanist [coz the writer himself was a "Dead White Male" (cept he's not dead ... yet ...) XP] so he said that all girls would secretly prefer "Petruchio" kinda guys ... -.-" ... you guys seen "Taming of the Shrew"?? [shakespeare] but in the end the girl ends up with a "sensitive" guy ... so yeah ... stupid play ... looolz ... I don't even know what my point was from all that ... XP

Okkkkkkkkkkkkkkayyyyyyyyyyyyy ... back on level terms ... the whole "guys don't cry" thing is so outdated man ... if a guy I knew was like that and it was obvious ... then I'd just think he was a tryhard ... >< ... either that or he didn't consider me a friend enough to express his actual feelings ... eh ...

Linn - August 26, 2006 05:21 AM (GMT)
I agreed w/ a lot of things here...

but for me, open up is easier said than done...

I feel more comfortable hiding in the shell...

why do you think that .... i looks more like that you like me :P: cause you say that you are lucky that you are sensitive ;) i only said that most girls prefer the more sensitive guys (that's a fact :P: )

kobe - August 27, 2006 01:31 AM (GMT)
Sorry, xmz. (anyways, what does that stand for?)I guess that I misunderstood u when u gave me the hint, hint. Otherwise I wouldn't think so heh heh. Now, I know something new about what girlz like. lolzzz.
Anyways, I guess because my family is very open to each other. That's probably why I grew up to be a sensitive guy. Also I used to talk to mommy alot!!!lolzzz I guess that's another reason right? :P:

- † - - August 27, 2006 02:04 AM (GMT)
