Hu Ge: acting as Guo Jing, I am not afraid to be yelled or insulted at.

H: For everyone, they have their own interpretations and own preference of Guo Jin, what do you think about Guo Jin?

HG: I think that Guo Jin isn't dumb and stupid, he does have that sort of atmosphere, but we can allow that to be his simplicity and innocence, as in his world, everything is perfect.

H: With Li Ya Peng's Guo Jin as a comparision, wat do you think your one would be like?

HG: I think that on his Guo Jin there was certainly an air of heros and like sort of Wu Xia typical person, this is what would be my hurdle in acting as such.


H: There must have been versions you have watched, which one would be your favourite?

HG: I will pick the 1983 version, i really liked Huang Ri Hua's Guo Jin.

H: I heard you were furiously putting on weight?

HG: Well before it began filming, i did LOTS of homework, mainly on the physical appearance. The main thing was to get fat and be tanned. I actually put on a total of 15 pounds! I spent the whole time making myself as full as possible, eating as much as I can, and spent all the other times in the Gym. I hope that it would actually work to portray the character well. Except the tanning.... it literally failed! Because after I am tanned, i will immediately revert back to being white after just 2 day! So i had to get the makeup artist to make me darker...

H: When Li Ya Peng was acting as Guo Jin, he got lots of insults and criticism. How do you feel?

HG: Oh I think that every actor, actress would already have the mental note of being yelled at for anything they will be acting as. So I am prepared to take any insults and criticisms.

whoa.. not afraid of criticism... that's the true actor spirit! I'm sure he's gonna act guo jin perfectly in our eyes anyway... but as for his courage to face criticism of his work.. should be applauded... he's gonna improve heaps thru the critics neway... so in a way it's good for him to hv someone criticising his work in a constructive way of course...

but of cos. which decent actor would actually be afraid of criticism. i mean, he should be prepared. but of cos ill support him till the end. those stupid critics should just shut up lols.

Actually criticism isn't really that bad... so maybe that's why Hu Ge isn't afraid of it... coz it's a good thing if ther are people that will look at your work and you'll learn from it and make it better the next time... But in case of Hu Ge i believe that he'd bring justice to the role of Gou Jing.. afterall virgo's tend to be a perfectionist... so i definitely believe that Hu Ge will give his 110% effort to be the best Gou Jing...

Hu Ge is a very profesional as he is able and willing to take criticisms.I can't believe he gained 15 pounds and become fair again after 2 days haha.He looks so cute in the pic.Love it.

i think he is suitable for guo jin except he still needs to gain a little more weight :sp2:
