Asking Hu Ge about his feelings of the the new Ancient Series SNYJJ (shao Nian Yang Jia Jiang) and the experiences of it, he was quite happy to say that he enjoyed it immensely and was happy ot be part of the Yang Family.

He as said that sometimes he is too into the character, and can feel the pain, and suffering and the sorrows felt by the 6th Son of the Yang family. Even after the film wrapped up, there were still inklings of it left.

One of the most memorable things he has done (which wasn't entirely very good) which Hu Ge remembers quite clearly was a water scene, filmed in the temperature of in the - 10s.

The director told him that there can be stuntsman in the water, but Hu Ge insisited that he films the water scene for the extra feelings. Thus he took off his shoes, wore layers of water proof clothing [Note: I think those surfing ones, foam.. not sure if China is into surfing like aus though...] and was slowly entering the water. After around 30 minutes of filming, he said that his whole body was just frozen. Even though he had drank the *yellow wine?* Spirits that the workers prepared for him, he was still freezing cold and numb. Though he thought at first was that he drank too much, was feeling a bit dizzy, but it was ok. At least the scene was done well.

Geez... that must have been cold!! In china, minus something is very very cold. I dun think the rubber foam or if it was.. would have kept him warm at all... at least he will be healthier... (cold water makes you healthier) but much thinner i bet, coz cold water makes you lose weight.

aww poor GeGe!!!! when I first saw the topic title I was like ugghh.. because I have something against people who reason for some reason, even though I know a lot of people do. I thought he drank to help him cope with stress or the sadness of Liu Lang. Then I went on to read the article so I was like oooohhh that's why, to keep him warm. but dang he's so serious! could've had a stuntman but insisted to do it himself..

OMG!!! poor gege, like i always say professionnal actor is really profressional!!! wah gege, is must be really cold, i hope he ok, the resultats must be really nice !!!!! GOGO GEGE!!!!

OMG that must have been freezing in that water. and i don't think that the suit and the alcohol did very much for him :o but i also really admire him that he did the stunt himself and not let a stuntman do it :lol:

i remember the first time i fall into the river at winter!!!! OMG!!!! the water is to cold!!! my body, become all red and the muscle is contracting!!!! that was really painful!!!! i understand gege feeling (-10degree)!!!! I wanna give him a hug too!!!! :lol:

i fell in a freezing river too >.< the stupid log that we had to walk across snapped in half! i feel so fat -_-... hahaha poor hu ge, but its good since he wanted to improve as an actor and he wanted to do his own stunts :D

At first i was kinda disappointed that Ge Ge drinks alcohol coz i really don't go for guys who drinks alcohol and besides i don't seee him as a guy who do that.. for me it's not just his character... but as i read the whole article, now i understand him! :)

Man! That's sooo cold! Poor Ge Ge even alcohol and foam suit could really not help that! :ohmy:

He really is a professional... but hey! come to think of it he's a Virgo that's why he's like that! Virgo's tends to be perfectionist so in order to do good film and really wanted to bring justice to his role he tends to do every stunt for himself... :D

haha that's wht all actor should go through if u want to be a actor like hu ge himself he did right on himself without a stunt man we should all be proud of him...

i hope he is only drinking cos it is cold and not bcos it is a habit.

This guy is a very dedicated actor. All of these trials and testings are sure to make him a much better actor in the future.
