veevee18 - May 19, 2006 09:54 PM (GMT)
Ello everyone,

Just wanted to know what you guys believe in, NOT NECESSARY religion wise, but just like what do YOU believe in?

like i believe in FATE

so plz give your opinions

Edison - May 19, 2006 10:22 PM (GMT)
I have a tendency to believe on the philosophy of Confucius. His quotes are true and a good way to live your live. Some I might, others i might not.

Also I also believe in fate but that is untrue because there is no such thing in this world. There is coincidence but no fate.

One thing that I really believe is that let nature take it's course and meet someone that I will love for the rest of my life.

veevee18 - May 19, 2006 10:28 PM (GMT)
COINCIDENCE?

no no

there is NO coincidence in this world

how can u say u BELIEVE and fate but then say
it is only coincidence???

u're contradicting urself

Edison - May 19, 2006 10:30 PM (GMT)
Am I? haha I am just saying that in reality.

For me I believe in destiny - fate.

(:AllieJT22:) - May 19, 2006 10:42 PM (GMT)
another debatable subject

iheartu - May 19, 2006 11:52 PM (GMT)
im a christian, so i believe everything is already planned out for us. everything is in His control so, i guess, no, fate does not exist? im still not sure tho....

~Sw33tz~ - May 20, 2006 03:41 AM (GMT)
i do believe in fate in a way.
like if you are fated to be friends, no matter how much aruging and stuff u will STILL remain friends coz ur just fated to be friends lol!!

i am atheist haha! but i do like some of the buddism quotes about life, like how wat goes around comes around, if you are good u wil lb rewarded, if your not u will be punished =D

oh wellz... fate lol! i will also let nature take is course to make me meet that someone lol! coz i believe that there is one person out there who is destined or fated to be with you. it is just whether or not you will find him/her. =D weird eh? haha

Haiz... i know i was fated to meet ge ge someday... muahaha!! oh wellz, i shall patiently wait for that upcoming day.... *yes sweetz is crazi...* haha

yanyan - May 20, 2006 03:45 AM (GMT)
i'm christian, but i don't know if i believe in fate. I guess even though I believe in God I also believe that there is some sort of fate. I hate the idea that ur future is planned out though, but i guess i have to accept that. Idk, still need to figure this out.

Cacophony - May 20, 2006 05:27 AM (GMT)
I'm a Christian and I agree with what iheartu says only I think there is fate and it's controlled by God. He determines our fate.

qing - May 20, 2006 10:17 AM (GMT)
yea. i'm a christian too. i believe that everything is already 'planned' by Him. He has His reasons for everything, and I'll accept them.

Believer503 - May 20, 2006 09:07 PM (GMT)
I'm a follower of Christ =). I believe that this life is our chance to get to know God as well as ourselves and to determine our afterlives. As for fate, I believe that He has His plan for each of us, though not all of us live according to that plan; because, of course, we're blessed with the gift of free will. Although I believe God is ultimately in control, we as people have the choice to do as we please. Even though some things are meant to happen, their duration and the consequences are up to us.

I'll piggyback with Qing in that I'll accept everything God gives me, not so much out of obligation as it is out of love. True love, I believe, is as it is described in 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 of the Bible, and it is a choice, one that is made continuously.

lonelyassassin - May 21, 2006 12:24 AM (GMT)
lol both our admins are crazy.

I believe in God. Simple as that. I don't care if my life is planned or not cause there is no way to find out. haha
I'll live life to the fullest (hopefully). ^_^

mac0002 - May 21, 2006 02:37 AM (GMT)

not many people in this world read the WHOLE bible
dont feel bad ^^

Believer503 - May 24, 2006 06:40 AM (GMT)
I don't think there's a such thing as a bad Christian. Christianity isn't so much about the rules and the regulations as it is about the love. It's a relationship. You can read the Bible through and through time and again and have no idea what it really is to know God.

Much love to yanyan hehe.

(:AllieJT22:) - May 25, 2006 12:49 AM (GMT)
well, im a christian...baptized lutheran, raised catholic, went 2a private catholic school in argentina, but i have quite a few disagreemants from the catholic religion and the christian religion in general...but i believe in God and Christ and all that. but, i dont believe that God has planned our future and life...i believe He knows already wat desicions we make already but that it is our own decisions and choices that take us where we will end up. God just knows where that'll be...that's just my opinion. :innocent:

- † - - June 3, 2006 10:15 AM (GMT)
Wow there are so many Christians here!! =D

Yes ... I am a devoted Christian!! [which if no-one had noticed is the reason for the cross in the name lolz -.-"]

But not many pplz have specified whether they were Catholic or Protestant ... and I dun wanna spark another Liz I/ Mary I war or nething but I think that if you attend church the distinction is there. I do think that division is pathetic coz ultimately believing in God should be the centre of Christianity!!! [Yes I really do believe this!!!] However there are several aspects of the Catholic faith that I oppose slightly [yes I am Anglican ...] but I know there are several faults with Anglican too ... *sigh* Corruption in the Church is one of the things that makes me MAD!! >< Why can't pplz be allowed to trust and obey their God?! Why must there always be those who use religion for personal gain?!?! I don't understand ... ><

Mais oui, I think I have said enough lolz ... I tend to start rambling ... -.-"

Better to be opinionated with your own foundations than to inherit faith =). Keep rambling =P.

- † - - June 7, 2006 11:30 AM (GMT)
Lolz ... thanks Teddy! =D

Hmmm ... we were learning about the corruption of the church during Luther's time as part of History Ext ... and it was disgusting!!! The stupid priests were telling innocent pplz that they could literally buy their way to heaven as a ploy to steal their money!! I think those priests are like the pharisees in the Bible ... thinking that they were perfect in God's eyes and fit for heaven ... as if they would prob end up in the deepest depths of hell!! >< [sozzies for the language ... -.-"]

Heh no-one is perfect ... and for those priests ...? Wellz Jesus says in the New Testament: "It is harder for a rich man to get into Heaven than for a camel to go through the eye of a needle." In other those priests just as some of the corrupt ones these days are destined to be kept from heaven lest they repent their ways!!! ><

Seriously they claim to be all knowledgeable in the Bible and full of "pietas" but really ... if they were you'd think that they would go and learn from Jesus' teachings!!! But no ... they jus disregard completely and then still hope to be accepted into heaven!! I really dislike the priests who preached Jesus' lessons but failed to learn the basic principles of Christianity and morality in general themselves!! ><

Ok ... lolz ... this is the end of my whinging session part 2 ... =P

Believer503 - June 7, 2006 09:53 PM (GMT)
Ah yes, indulgences.

One would buy an indulgence as forgiveness for their sin(s), even sins not committed yet.

"I'm going to kill my uncle. How much does my forgiveness cost?"

They also sold other people's souls.

"My brother is probably in hell. How much to buy his way into heaven?"

Yea, Luther's time, the birth of Lutherans and Calvinists hehe was a bad time for the church.

of_the_fire_roots - June 7, 2006 10:02 PM (GMT)
i am also a Christian, to be more specific i am a Catholic. i suppose you can say that i follow my faith quite closely.

- † - - June 8, 2006 10:16 AM (GMT)
Hmmmm ... but Luther was against the corruption in the Church so you can't really say that the birth of Lutherans and Calvinists brought the decline in the church!! He segregated himself and went into hiding coz he opposed the crude methods of money earning the church pplz were adopting!!

But yes ... btw Teddy, just out of interest ... Kevin says already that he's Catholic ... I'm Anglican ... which if either are you?? =P

I'm a Christian as well... and I agree with the other Christian fellows had said here. I'd also like to add that His plan for us is always based on good reasons, and I believe that whatever plan He has for us, is all beautiful. Thus I also don't feel the obligation.

anyways, I'm a protestant heheh... although I have my own say or disagreement about some of the beliefs of other Christian variants, but I'll respect them anyway (because afterall, we're one big Christian family aren't we?) lol ^^

ps: but of course I refuse the belief where we can 'buy' our way to heaven =.=; that's like so wrong...

Believer503 - June 8, 2006 02:10 PM (GMT)
Hehe I only said that their emergence was during a time of the Catholic Church's decline, not it's cause =P.

I'm non-denomination =P, i.e. evangelist.

- † - - June 9, 2006 03:00 AM (GMT)
Yes Teddy lolz they were a beacon of light in a world of darkness! =P How can you be a non-denomination btw lolz?? =P Do you go to church? All churches have a denomination I think ... lolz!! But yeah stuff the divisions lolz, everyone is one big family!! =D

Hehe and yes Alda I agree with you ... we should jus trust God and go on with our lives safely knowing that he will provide for us and with a certainty of heaven at the end of the road!! =D

Believer503 - June 9, 2006 04:47 AM (GMT)
Yea, I go to church, the same one since age 5, been leading youth group there since I was 13.

And yea, it's possible to be non-denomination =P.

- † - - June 9, 2006 12:05 PM (GMT)
Really lolz? So what church is it? Is it just called a "Christian Church"??

I have no clue never been to America ... but I have been to quite a few churches coz I move around alot ... now I'm moving again so I have to leave my church of 6 years and go elsewhere ... ='(

Yes I help lead English Sunday School with some good friends and yeah the kids are all pretty kool!! =D

Believer503 - June 10, 2006 05:22 AM (GMT)

- † - - June 10, 2006 05:46 AM (GMT)

Hmmm I go to an Anglican Church!! Always have always will!! =D

Believer503 - June 10, 2006 05:59 AM (GMT)
I mean the ppl I lead =P. No, I don't have kids. I'm all about the purity - I've yet to kiss a girl hehe. I've been rambling on to Vee^2 about all my relationship ideals hahaha.
