[2007.09.30] HuGe & Schoolmate YuanHong had Whirlwind of Fighting Scenes; Unafraid of Mutual CompetitionThe new edition of LOCH, invested and produced by ShangHai Chinese Movie Co., finally restarted filming in HengDian couple of days ago. And the male leads for this film – HuGe and YuanHong, although “brothers to each his own path” in the drama, both of them are in fact true buddies outside filming. HuGe and YuanHong were classmates at Shanghai Theatre Academy, stayed in the same hostel during those years, and subsequently signed with the same management company. Their bond was naturally a cinch.
During the one year of filming break, YuanHong very brotherly waited for HuGe a year, turned down other on-hand assignments, and waited wholeheartedly for LOCH to recommence filming. Now, because of the absence of female lead, Lin YiChen, HuGe and YuanHong had the most scenes together. On-site, both were quite engrossed in their acting, shouting to their heart’s content. Fortunately, they had specialized training before, and also because both played as a pair of “mortal enemies” in “Young Yang Warriors”, their exchange of blows were pretty adept, and couldn’t even stop at times after the director shouted “cut”. The two sparred so happily and heartily, smiling at each other, making the entire shooting ambiance extremely pleasant.
Male actors, both about the same age, would inevitably be asked by the reporter if there’s any competition between the two of them. And the answers from these two were also very straightforward. YuanHong said, “There’s actually competition. If your counterpart is diligently acting, it can give you inspiration and motivate you to work harder. As a matter of fact, HuGe, after having gone through this ordeal, has again acquired a new understanding of handling his role. A lot of feel when acting together with him.” And HuGe expressed that if it is a friendly competition, it’s extremely advantageous to the whole drama, hence unafraid of this kind of competition, and hopes that the more outstanding his counterpart the better.
