The beginning of the fairytale:
Tian Yu yearns for the fairy tale story “The Frog Prince,” for the moving feeling that she will get when she is faced with the Prince. Yet, she also thinks that kissing a frog is an extremely disgusting matter, even if it is in a dream…

Tian Yu is influenced by her stepmother, Jin Zhi’s thinking. In addition to her deceased father’s financial debts, she understands the importance of money at an early age. Her thinking is “one needs to be thrifty in order to maintain a family and to make money one needs to use lowly tricks.” But at this moment, the most important thing to Tian Yu is attending a concert that is dedicated to her deceased birth mother. Therefore, she must put on the most beautiful dress in the village to attend. This most beautiful dress is on display in the window of Si Meng Jiao’s Boutique in the village. However, Tian Yu doesn’t have the money to buy it.

Jun Hao is the new General Manager of Senwell Hotel. Growing up with and being exposed to power at a young age, he is able to make decisive decisions on many things. He believes that Yun Xi, an orphan who lives in his home, will be his bride when they grow up.

As for Zi Qian, who Jun Hao also grows up together with, his indifferent attitude always causes many headaches for Jun Hao. Take Guan Mei Hotel’s owner, Tang Shun Ming’s matter for example. Jun Hao wants Zi Qian to settle the problem with Tang Shun Ming so that Tang Shun Ming will not cause a big commotion when they go to take over Guan Mei Hotel and the land that is under Tang Shun Ming’s name. Zi Qian’s words almost caused Tang Shun Ming to commit suicide by jumping off a building. Finally, in order to settle the problem himself, Jun Hao goes to Guan Mei Hotel in the village but at the same time, Yun Xi refuses to get engaged with him.

While this is happening, Zi Qian is silently listening to Yun Xi poor her heart out and understands that Yun Xi is only temporarily refusing Jun Hao. The reasoning behind it is she wants Jun Hao to understand her. However, the one that truly understands her is Zi Qian. Zi Qian wants to bury his feelings for Yun Xi forever yet on the other hand, he also hopes that she would accept him one day…

Meeting a 100% Cold-blooded Prince:
In order to buy the beautiful dress from Si Meng Jiao’s Boutique, Tian Yu joins a cultural competition to try to win the award money. She pulls Zheng Zhe along to set out to sea. However, nothing always goes according to what one wants, Tian Yu twists her foot and can’t move one bit and almost drowned in the water.

On a speed boat, Jun Hao just proposed to Yun Xi on a hot air balloon yesterday. But things didn’t according to plan and at the most critical moment, the diamond ring falls into the sea. At this moment, being in the speed boat all by himself and he sees someone in trouble, without giving any second thoughts, Jun Hao jumps into the water to save the person. The person whom he saves, Tian Yu, is wearing a diamond ring on her hand that is exactly like the one that he lost. It turns out that Tian Yu found the ring the day before on the beach. She thought that it was a fake one and is wearing it just for fun and forgets to take it off.

They both started arguing over the ring and then fell into the water at the same time. At first Jun Hao wasn’t going to save Tian Yu again but seeing that she has lost consciousness in the water, he went and saves her once more. However Tian Yu accuses Jun Hao of stealing a kiss from her because he performed CPR on her to save her.

Not knowing Jun Hao’s identity, Tian Yu doesn’t know that the person standing in front of her is a prince and didn’t know what his name is or who he is. She only knows that the person in front of her is a lecher who stole her first kiss.

The Concert’s Miracle & The Tragedy of the Engagement Banquet:
As soon as Jun Hao returns to the hotel, he gets interrogated by one of the board members, Zhang Yi Zheng, on the Guan Mei Hotel matter. However, in dealing with this kind of matter, Jun Hao always accomplishes the task with no problems. Besides, the next day is his engagement party with Yun Xi and as a result, Jun Hao was very lenient over the irrational scene that Zhang Yi Zheng created.

At this time, Senwell’s General Manager’s engagement banquet is the center of all the bustling activities at the hotel. Zi Qian, who is in charge of all the public relations matters, is of course burdened with a big responsibility. Yet Zi Qian’s good friend, Ah Jian doesn’t agree. Ah Jian hangs around the streets and doesn’t do anything but he gets influenced by Zi Qian and as a result, he decides to pull himself together. He regards Zi Qian as his elder brother and secretly starts planning his scheme behind Zi Qian’s back.

That evening, Yun Xi finds a concert invitation in Jun Hao’s car which is meant for Tian Yu. Seeing this invitation, Jun Hao understands that Tian Yu wasn’t lying when she said that she was attending an important concert. Under Yun Xi’s suggestion, Jun Hao tells his assistant, Da Wei to take Tian Yu to buy a dress that is suitable for the concert.

Before Jun Hao left Guan Mei Hotel, Tang Shun Ming begs Jun Hao to give him another chance to repay the money that he owes. Jun Hao refuses and his attitude causes Shun Ming to want to hurt him. Yet Shun Ming never imagined that Jun Hao would get hit by a taxi which causes him to lose consciousness. And the taxi driver is not any other person but is Ah Jian. Tang Shun Ming sees the taxi driver carrying Jun Hao away and after battling with his own conscience, he pretends he didn’t see anything and returns to the fishing village.

After the concert, not only did Tian Yu receive a medal that was commended for her mother, but she also expressed her gratitude toward her stepmother, Jin Zhi, in front of everyone. Jin Zhi was very touched from the phone call and pulls Zheng Zhe along to borrow a small truck to go and pick up Tian Yu at the concert so that they can come home together.

Tian Yu was very happy that they came and drives home with Jin Zhi and Zheng Zhe. However, she never expected Jun Hao to dodge out from the sidewalk and gets knocked down by her truck.

It turns out that after Jun Hao gets knocked unconscious by the taxi, he wakes up in the back of the taxi as the taxi was driving along the road. He gets into a fight with the taxi driver, Ah Jian. The car dashes through the railing and falls into the sea. It is expected that the worst has fallen on Jun Hao but fortunately he is still alive. He makes it back to shore and tries to call for help from the oncoming cars and gets hit by Tian Yu.

This is the beginning of the fairytale…

Ya I agree with u that Ming dao and Qiao En have great chemistry.. The storyline and plot are also amazing.. Ming Dao is so shuai in it! Shao Wei looks great too, together with Xiao Qiao.. This is one show I like Xiao Qiao in coz she is not acting as a bad person, which she usually is like in The Champion...

Shan Jun Hao (portrayed by Ming Dao)
28 years old. Senwell Hotel's only son, holding the position of General Manager. Has a positive and energetic personality. Does things with a determined mind. But because of his independent and dictatorial attitude, this causes many people to dislike him. Being the successor to the Shan Enterprise, he regards impractical, dumb, ordinary, unmotivated people to be an obstacle to the improvement and progress of the society. Within his world, there is no compassion or sympathy. He believes that those who are laid off from work, the beggars on the streets, the poor laborers, all don't work hard enough and are lazy which lead to their defeat in life. During a car accident, Jun Hao falls into the river and accidentally gets rescued by Tian Yu. Suffering from a memory lost, under the threatening and cheating of Tian Yu, Jun Hao becomes labeled as an illegal immigrant. Living at Chun Pu's fishing village and under the control of Tian Yu and Jin Zhi, Jun Hao's personality was completely changed around. He now knows how to sympathize with others, is gentle and filled with compassion. They even gave him a new name 'Dang Ou'. However, after Jun Hao leaves the fishing village and recovers his memory, he returns to his dictatorial attitude once again. He even forgets the memories that he has with Tian Yu and prepares to get married with Yun Xi. At the same time, he totally humiliates Tian Yu and is not willing to believe that he was once in love with her.

Xu Zi Qian (portrayed by Sam Wang Shao Wei)
29 years old. He has the management skills that Jun Hao has as well as the creative talent that Jun Hao doesn't have. He gets along easily with other people and doesn't like to haggle over small things. He doesn't pay too much attention to all the unhappy things in life. The center of his thinking is, rather than start a war, it is better to settle for peace. As a result, if there is anything that Jun Hao is after, Zi Qian would step aside and give up on competing with him, even if it involves Yun Xi. However, having to depend on other people and the mystery of the cause of his father's death in the past, has created a shadow in his heart, becoming an indefinite ticking bomb on his personality. This shadow will also become the barrier and the hostility between him and Jun Hao in the future. Like an alligator hiding underneath the water, if it doesn't attack, then it won't attack, but once it attacks, it will hold on tight and will not let go. His father, Xu Yue and Shan Yao Rong worked together to build today's Senwell Hotel, but his father passed away when Zi Qian was 10 years old due to a gas explosion and his mother became a comatose person. He was brought into the Shan family when he was 10 years old and left when he became old enough. Due to the fact that his mother signed a paper transferring the rights of all the stocks to the Shan family, this action caused Zi Qian to be without anything in his possession. Why his mother signed the papers are a mystery to Zi Qian and this certainly raises his suspicion on what exactly Shan Yao Rong had in mind back then. However he cannot ignore the fact that the Shan family treated him as their own son and brought him up. As a result, when faced with each person from the Shan family, there is love and there is hate from Zi Qian. All along, Yun Xi is the one that he loves the most in his heart. The most painful thing for him is watching Yun Xi become Jun Hao?s wife but he has never had any traitorous thoughts at all. That is until Jun Hao disappears and he becomes the person that Yun Xi is dependent on, tasting the sweetness of love for the first time. However, when Jun Hao returns, the balance within Zi Qian?s world is destroyed again. Seeing the pain that Yun Xi goes through because of this relationship involving Jun Hao and Tian Yu and in order to allow Jun Hao and Yun Xi to be together, he takes the initiative to pursue Tian Yu. Yet he never would have thought that this would bring about another 3 person relationship.


Ye Tian Yu (portrayed by Chen Qiao En)
23 years old. The adopted daughter of Chen Jin Zhi, who runs the grocery and gas business in the fishing village. She is lively, careless, thinks quickly, smart, witty and strong. For money, she can lie through her teeth. She is practical and has the brains. Grew up in the fishing village and has never ventured far. Her father was a teacher and when he was alive, in order to treat Tian Yu?s mother?s cancer, he caused the school to fall into debt and ran away from Taipei. He came to the fishing village and met Jin Zhi. Tian Yu is influenced by the many debtors that come to ask for money since she was young and as a result, this caused Tian Yu to place a heavy emphasis on money. Therefore, her biggest dream is to find a rich man with lots of money. On the way home from a commemoration concert held for her deceased birth mother, she accidentally hits Shan Jun Hao and hastily left the scene with him in tow. When Jun Hao wakes up, he lost his memory. Tian Yu and her family members collaborate together to lie to Jun Hao that he is an illegal immigrant from China and keep him working at the grocery store. However, as time passes, Tian Yu unconsciously starts to develop feelings for Jun Hao as she sees him without the arrogance that he had before his memory loss and with more sincere feelings for people. Just when they both start to have feelings for each other, Jun Hao?s memory returns. When she sees that Jun Hao doesn?t remember their love for each other after his memory returns, how will she awaken those memories of love and save the love between herself and Jun Hao?


Fan Yun Xi (portrayed by Zhao Hong Qiao)
23 years old. Shan Jun Hao's fiance. Her parents abandoned her at the Senwell Hotel when she was young. Jun Hao picked her up and brought her home with him and was brought up by Shan Yao Rong and Jiang Cai Yue. She grew up together with Jun Hao and Zi Qian and was raised to be Jun Hao's wife. She acts appropriately and is not arrogant at all. She?s reasonable and strong. Love is everything to her and she will do anything that Jun Hao asks. Anyone, including Jun Hao, would believe that Yun Xi is appropriately matched with Jun Hao. Even though she wishes to be independent but she also likes to be loved by Jun Hao. Although that is the case, she is very clear that Zi Qian is the only one who understands her personality. Face with Zi Qian?s love, she is not able to accept it. Yet the tenderness and care that Zi Qian has for her is not something that she can refuse either. However, she understands that only Jun Hao is the stability in her life that will not waver. During the time when she lost Jun Hao and seeing how Zi Qian does everything for her without looking for any repayment, just when she decided to accept Zi Qian's feelings, Jun Hao returns. She thought that her world will return to its tranquility like before yet she would never have imagined that it is actually the beginning of instabilities and insecurities.

Zhang Ming Han (portrayed by Gino)
27 years old. Executive Vice President of Senwell Hotel. Like Jun Hao and Zi Qian, his father is one of the three people that helped build Senwell. Inherited the riches from his father plus his own intelligence, he should be the one that should take over the CEO's position when he retires. However, Jun Hao's return from overseas ruined his plans. Henceforth, he sees Jun Hao as his enemy and no matter what Jun Hao does, he would always oppose him. Due to the fact that everything goes according to his wishes since he was young and the fact that he is smart and has the ability, he sees himself as above everyone else. He doesn't even look highly on Zi Qian. However, when his status is being threatened, he supported Zi Qian in going against Jun Hao.

Su Li Xin (portrayed by Su Li Xin)
Likes to compare with Tian Yu, is an extremely exaggerated girl. In front of people, she acts gentle and generous but then she likes to talk about people behind their backs. She?s nicknamed the princess of the village. She?s pretty and has the quality and elegance of someone from a rich family. It is destined that she will marry a rich person and that?s exactly what she allows herself to believe in too. She is always against Tian Yu. When she finds out that Zheng Zhe likes her, she is always making him go and find out information on Tian Yu. She also asks him whose side he is on, making it difficult for Zheng Zhe. In the end, they became a bickering couple.

Chen Jin Zhi (portrayed by Wang Juan)
45 years old. On differing terms with her ex-husband, Tang Shun Ming. She has a frank personality, loves money, speaks very loudly, looks over the grocer?s natural gas business in the village. She is completely into the business and is willing to make whatever money she can. After her divorce, she lives with her only son, Zheng Zhe and meets Tian Yu?s father. She fell in love with his scholarly looks. She never imagined that after she marries him, she finds out that besides from his knowledge, he doesn?t know anything else. Even though she regrets it but before she can say anything about it, Tian Yu?s father passed away and left behind Tian Yu and a bunch of debts for her. Although that is the case, she still treats Tian Yu as her own child and does her best to raise Tian Yu. After years of living together, her thinking of money being the most important thing soon planted itself onto Tian Yu?s mind.

Jiang Cai Yue (portrayed by Li Dai Ling)
45 years old. A typical rich entrepreneur?s wife, elegant and sophisticated. Her health is weak and she usually stays home to rest and paint. She?s gentle and polite. Loves Jun Hao, Zi Qian, Yun Xi. She treats them like her own children. Is a very kind-hearted woman.

Li Da Wei (portrayed by Huang Yu Rong)
26 years old. Shan Jun Hao's assistant and junior. He is Jun Hao's trusted partner. He is upright, serious, kindhearted. He always have differences of opinion with Jun Hao but each time he would yield to Jun Hao in the end. He would help Jun Hao but he would also give suggestions from his conscience. Whenever Jun Hao has unhappy or difficult problems, the first person that he goes to would be Da Wei, Jun Hao's only friend.

Tang Shun Ming (portrayed by Zhao Shun)
50 years old. Jin Zhi's ex-husband. Has the same short-tempered behavior as Jin Zhi. Runs his ancestor?s hotel at the fishing village. The strange thing is that he doesn't have a close relationship with his son, Zheng Zhe, but comparatively speaking loves Tian Yu more. He treats Tian Yu like his own daughter. Too bad there are still grudges between him and Jin Zhi, and hates it when Tian Yu runs over to the hotel to help him out. Due to some financial problems with the hotel and faced with the fate of being taken over by Senwell, as a result, he becomes enemies with Jun Hao. When he sees that Jun Hao has become the memory lost ??Dang Ou,? under the tug of war between his conscience and his benefits, he chooses to hide the fact that he knows Jun Hao's real identity. However, it is because of this that he suffers from his guilty conscience and in the end, he decides to go to the Shan family and tell the truth. Yet, before the truth could be revealed, he met with an accident and passed away. He left behind Guan Mei Hotel with its financial problems to Tian Yu and Zheng Zhe.

Li Tong Luo (portrayed by Cheng Bo Ren)
40 years old. Fishing village?s police officer, upright and loyal. Has feelings for Yue Jiao and Jin Zhi. He always thought that they both like him and is constantly wavering between the two of them. Because there are always illegal immigrants coming to the fishing village from China, Li Tong Luo is frequently patrolling around the waterside. When Jun Hao accused Tian Yu of kidnapping him, Tong Luo testified that Jun Hao and Tian Yu were in love with each other in the fishing village and solved the crisis for Tian Yu.

Ye Zheng Zhe (portrayed by An Dong Ni)
20 years old. Tian Yu?s younger brother from a different fathers and mothers. Jin Zhi and Tang Shun Ming?s son. He?s a student applying for college and has been applying for 2 years and still haven?t gotten into a college yet. He has a deep relationship with his mother and Tian Yu. Due to the protection that he receives from his mother and his sister since he is young, he has a bit of a cowardly personality. He doesn?t like to study so after he graduated from high school, he took the college entrance exam for 2 years and still couldn?t get in. He is being forced to take the exam for the 3rd year. He loves to go online and play games and will completely lose himself in the world of video games. Occasionally, he would look into adult websites to compensate for his young and lonely thoughts. Because of his innate obstacle with studying, this has caused him to have a slight accent when he speaks which lead to the misunderstanding by his father, Tang Shun Ming, that Zheng Zhe is Jin Zhi?s son with another man. This has also become Zheng Zhe?s ?shadow from his childhood.? Until Tang Shun Ming passed away, only then did Zheng Zhe changed his surname back to Tang.

Shan Yao Rong (portrayed by Yun Zhong Yue)
53 years old. The CEO of Senwell Hotel. He created Senwell Hotel with Zi Qian?s father and Zhang Ming Han?s father. He?s strict, firm and has a long term outlook. The gas explosion accident and the signing of transferring the rights of all the stocks to the Shan family by Zi Qian?s mother caused many suspicions to arise from this whole matter. Even though he works hard at repaying Zi Qian and hopes that in the end, Zi Qian and Jun Hao can work together to manage Senwell, but he doesn?t know that the accident from the past has long planted a shadow in Zi Qian?s heart and the answer to this mystery is only known by Yao Rong himself.

Wu Yue Jiao (portrayed by Lu Man Yin)
45 years old. Hui Rong?s mother. Owner of Si Meng Jiao?s Boutique. She is the twin sister to Guan Mei Hotel?s Feng Jiao. Yet because of some slight misunderstanding, even though they live in the same fishing village, they pretend that they don?t know each other. She loves to argue with Jin Zhi and they are both sworn enemies of each other. They are always comparing with each other. There?s not a day that passes by when they don?t compare. Her looks and qualifications are better than Jin Zhi and Jin Zhi calls her the most detestable woman in the whole village.

Wu Feng Jiao (portrayed by Lu Man Yin)
45 years old. An honest and loyal worker of Guan Mei Hotel. Twin sister of Yue Jiao but they don?t talk to each other at all. Being that she is the elder, sometimes she would order other people to do things. There are also other times when she would use her intellect to help out the young people with their difficult problems. She is enthusiastic, has a loud voice and can never keep a secret. The reasoning on that is to hurry up and tell someone before she forgets about it.

Tong Hua Shun (portrayed by Qiu Long Jie)
27 years old. He is impulsive, easily gets angry and stubborn. He doesn?t think at all and as a result, problems always arise when he makes his decisions under his rash actions and Zi Qian is always the one that solves these problems for him. He met Zi Qian when Zi Qian came to Gan Hua Yuan to volunteer. Because Zi Qian is always helping him out, he feels grateful towards Zi Qian and admires him and refers to him as ?big brother.? He is not used to seeing Jun Hao always being on top of Zi Qian. On the day of Jun Hao and Yun Xi?s engagement, he creates an accident and takes Jun Hao away. He never imagined that he would cause himself to suffer greatly from the outcome of that action.

Chuan Yu Nan (portrayed by Na Wei Xun)
30 years old. Guan Mei Hotel?s chef, nicknamed ?Da Shi Chuan.? His culinary skills are very outstanding and he knows Chinese and Western cooking. His father, who is also a top chef, owes a favor to Tang Shun Ming and as a result, ordered Yu Nan to come to the Hotel to work for Shun Ming. The other thing that attracted his attention to stay behind is the excellent quality of the seafood that the fishing village provides. He is smart and upright but he has a lonely personality and doesn?t like to be around crowds. He is very strict on his attitude towards his work. Even if it is an ordinary dish of fried rice, after he finished preparing it, the taste is just out of this world. He requests that any dish he presents to his customers to be the best there is. He always have a straight, stern face on without any expressions but he is someone who is honorable, loyal and emphasizes on professionalism and respect.

Wang Pin Sheng (portrayed by Hu Pei Wei)
23 years old. The youngest worker at Guan Mei Hotel. At first he come to the Hotel in hopes of learning culinary skills from Da Shi Chuan but it turns out that Da Shi Chuan will not accept any students. He didn?t want to leave so he stay behind to work as a service boy. For the simple chores to security to holding the door, it is all part of Pin Sheng?s job. Occasionally when he is likes, he would even help with the other chores that the elder staff can?t do. Naﶥ, kind-hearted and never throws any temper. Yet he is always one step behind everyone else, just like listening to a joke. It could be that everyone has finished laughing already but he just starts to laugh. When he is explaining things, if he sees the other person getting more and more anxious, it would cause him to explain slower and slower because he would start getting anxious too. His biggest wish is that he can become Da Shi Chuan?s student one day.

Gary (portrayed by Yang Hao)
25 years old. Zi Qian?s assistant. He has a refined appearance, works efficiently and pays attention to his image. He helps Zi Qian with the reporters and announcements of any news and also takes care of anything else along the side.

I think Ming Dao and Qiao En have real kool chemistry in this series except it REALLY made me mad [and I literally wanted to rip my hair out ... ok maybe not that bad ... =P] was the fact that when Tian Yu would always cry over Jun Hao and everything he usually seems calm-ish when she leaves him ... and the one time that he actually cried ... on the beach ... it wasn't enough!! I wanted to see him panick!! He should have been scared of losing her!! Express some emotion!! Stop being arrogant!!! ARGH!!

i agree with _+_ . you should try to watch it. it is a great serie. at first when i saw the first eps i was also like 'what is this' i also wanted to delete it because of the same reasons as you that i didn't like the actors and actress but eventually when you kept on watching the serie. l grow to love them more and more (i think it is also because of the great story line, and the fairytale part kekeke). and i really began to love mingdao when he was playing dang-o.
sow what i wanted to say was just try and watch the series it is really funny and eventually (i hope) you will love the personages and characters and even love/like the serie. :P:

Awesome TW drama! I used to think the drama wasn't going to be good because the name of the series sounds like Disney stuff. Then I ran out of dramas one day to watch and I decided to download and give it a try. OMG it was soo good xD. I totally recommend this series >D

you should check out AQMFS or The Magicians of Love. It stars the same guys as this series, 183 Club. many people have complained though that the storyline isn't as good but it's still worth a try. plus it'll be finished airing in about 3 weeks so if you wait til then to start it then you won't have to wait a week for an episode like the way some of us do nowwwww!!

i like the story but some scence were cheesy. The main guy in here sure is hot.

this serie was a good watch. it was funny too. loved the chemistry between the two leads

im guessing this is a good drama from what you guys say... i got turned down from this drama because of the title -_- and also because it was up against chinese paladin in the best TW drama!!! OF COURSE I VOTED FOR CP!!! CP ALWAYS AND FOREVERRRR

the story is not bad.....there are quite a lot of chemistry between the leads....

Lolz ... yeah it's basicly jus a love story ... like so many others are these days ... they make romance the main theme and work the other bits around it as subplots ... for example in this one, 'true love' is the main theme ...

I love to see love story....it is my fav.....its true to have some plots in between the series to make it more interesting .....

I think although this theme of this series is kind overused but it is still immensely enjoyable because of the 'lightness' of this series. Like they always balance out between sad scenes and funny ones. I often find myself laughing my head off afta being all teary from the previous scene lol

ya..there are some parts which is very funny....I laugh until stomach *pain*....some parts are sad....*sob*....

Lolz ... I reckon ... but what really annoyed me was the whole subplot with Yun Xi's 'mental instability' and how she miraculously healed in the end by herself ... I think the romance between her and Zi Xian needed some work coz the whole thing concentrated on Tian Yu/Jun Hao, Tian Yu/Zi Qian and Yun Xi/Ming Dao ... still ... every series has its ups and downs I suppose ... and I think this series has more ups than downs!! =D

story line is good but dont like any of the actor protray it in this series not going to watch this i;m sorry
