To welcome the hosting of Shanghai Special Olympics 08, 11 August, International Sports Federation [literally translated but I think the article meant Special Olympics International] and Shanghai Government jointly conducted two most important promotional activities before the inauguration of the Special Olympics - Compassion Olympics “I Know I Can” solidarity get-together and, Special Olympics theme song unveiling ceremony cum “PuJiang’s Nite Public Welfare Reception”. Several recreational and sports stars were invited to attend this affair, to sing for Special Olympics as well as to donate their personal stuff for charity auction.

As a star born and bred in Shanghai - HuGe, on this occasion was also invited to participate in this activity. This was the first large-scale event that he’d attended since his official comeback announcement in June. He expressed that he felt exceedingly proud to be able to make a contribution for the Special Olympic Games. He is also extremely keen on sports himself, with jogging and basketball being his common most frequent sports.

At the public welfare reception, HuGe donated one camera that has accompanied him for more than five years as a charity auction item. As understood, this silver black NIKON FM2 is a camera model which HuGe has always admire. HuGe started his infatuation with photography when studying in high school. So as to save money for buying camera, thus accepted his first photo print ad job. This camera equates the use of the money he’d earned himself, the gift he’d bought for himself. He would also carry it with him during filming, recording many people and things along the way.

HuGe even sang one of the shortlisted Special Olympics theme songs at the event yesterday - "I Know I Can". As a result of a traffic accident, during recuperation period, he studied singing with renowned teacher, Pan ShengHua for half a year. Indeed there was vast improvement, his live singing already reaching the standard of a professional singer.

Thanks for sharing, Winks. Since Hu Ge is also part of Shanghai, I believe he will be participating more in the near future promotion activities. Thanks Ge Ge for the contribution.
