Adapted from an Japanese manga of the same title, Devil Beside You combines efforts of the most famous TV series producer Angie Chai (who once created the miracle of Meteor Garden) and rising young idols such as Mike Ha, Rainie Yang, Kingone Wang, and Cai Pei Lin! The romance comedy was extremely popular when it was broadcast in Taiwan!
Mike Ha and Rainie Yang play a couple who often quarrel with each other. Mike is a boy who doesn't know how to express his love for his girlfriend, a lively girl played by the hot singer Rainie Yang. Apart from the idols' handsome faces, their dramatic acting is also what appeals to the Taiwanese audience, making Devil Beside You the best-loved Taiwanese romantic TV series in 2005!

For some reason, I liked Qing Zi and Yuan Yi better. I mean Rainie and Mike were cute together too but... it was just one of those weird things. Maybe I liked the idea of their relationship better because after Qing Zi confessed to Yuan Yi, all I could think of is, does he like her yet? Does he like her yet? haha I know.. I'm weird...

I prefer Mike Ye with Rainie Yang they are so cute!!!!

Devil Besides U is one of my favourite drama series!!! I can watch repeatedly.. I want more of this type of drama series coming out..this will definitely keep me watching... I prefer Xiao Yue and Ah Meng.. One angel and one Devil..such great couple!
From this show, I noe of Mike He.. and now he is one of my favourite actor! :sp2: He so shuai.. Hope more of his shows coming up! Not only is he handsome, his acting skills are great too.. (in my opinion.)

Short Summary
A mistake causes them to meet each other. She hates his tyrannical and unreasonable ways and for turning her whole world upside down. She wants to get away from this devil but carelessly falls in love with him instead! At first, they were hoping that they will be able to love each other but unfortunately there is a huge problem that is surrounding them. This problem is that they will soon become brother and sister…

Qi Yue has always had a crush on basketball captain, Yuan Yi. Under the encouragement of all her friends, she finally decides to express her true feelings. Who knew that when she was expressing her feelings because she was overly nervous, she mistakenly gave the love letter to new freshman - Jiang Meng. This started a nightmare that she can't get away from.

Embarrassed and mortified, Qi Yue quickly runs away from the scene and then she discovers that her important love letter is missing. Jiang Meng uses the love letter to blackmail Qi Yue into becoming his "servant." As a result, Qi Yue becomes Jiang Meng's personal servant. Besides from helping Jiang Meng copy down the notes in class, she would also have to complete any request that he has and obey her "master." Under Yuan Yi's gentle encouragement, Qi Yue is determined to break away from the devil, Jiang Meng's clutches. Who knew that Qi Yue's love letter will be posted up all over the announcement bulletin board!

Ashamed and angry, Qi Yue runs off to find Jiang Meng and Jiang Meng expresses that there isn't anything in this world that he can't get. Looking into Jiang Meng's eyes, Qi Yue gradually starts to get a feeling of uneasiness rushing into her heart… While this unpleasant event was going on, Qi Yue's mother, Xue Wei, finds her prince charming. It turns out that Qi Yue's future father is none other than Jiang Meng's father and the director of the school, Jiang You Hui! What is even worse, is that under Jiang Meng's innocent cheating smile, he becomes a member of the basketball team and Qi Yue becomes the manager of the basketball team…

Episode 2…

Qi Yue foolishly believes that as long as she can be in the basketball team with Yuan Yi, then there is a possibility for them to be together. However, under her younger brother, Jiang Meng's interference, not only is she not able to be alone with Yuan Yi but she exclusively becomes Jiang Meng's "legitimate servant." Besides Qi Yue, there is also one other person who is not happy about this and that is Jiang Meng's number one fan - Li Xiang. This causes a dangerous threat to exist in Qi Yue's life.

Yuan Yi discovers that he seems to start caring about Qi Yue. Under Qing Zi and Xiao Cai's encouragement, Yuan Yi decides to tell Qi Yue about his feelings. However, he sees the one thing that he didn't want to see - the kissing of this "dangerous pair of elder sister and younger brother." Just when Qi Yue feels as if her world has tumbled into the bottom of a pit, God gives her a big surprise - Yuan Yi asks her on a date to see a concert! Qi Yue tells herself: I absolutely can't mess things up this time!"

At the concert, Yuan Yi witnesses the bickering between Qi Yue and Jiang Meng and fully realizes that there is only a misunderstanding between the two of them. Seeing Qi Yue and Jiang Meng, Yuan Yi tells Qi Yue the truth and finally is sure of what his feelings are. In this three person relationship, Yuan Yi is the one that is the loser…

i watch dis serie like dis summa i think but ne way... i luv dis serie... the plot wuz reali interestin ... sum part wuz reali funni ... n cute... like when she ran ... he open da door n kiss her... aww... overall ... its a must watch serie... if u haven't watch ... i consider u do cuz it worth every penny... mike he is soo hott ... rainie is soo cute... they make such a cute couple ... n he is a good kisser from wut i saw... i thought the endin wuz too short tho ... :teary:

Ah wellz ... it was kool! I wasn't too fond of the ending though ... the whole 'one year later meeting' thing was a little too cliched ... but for the most part it was hilarious ... I quite liked the part when Ah Meng's dad nearly wacks him twice with that pot ... XD ... sozzies ...

Anyhow ... Mike and Rainie did well together ... lolz ... =P

Besides ... actors usually 'like each other' during filming coz that's kinda what keeps their acting going ... I think Ariel said that about her and Mike in Love Contract! =D And you wonder why they find it hard to maintain relationships ... lolz ... the generally start liking their film partners!! =P

I think I read in an article somewhere that before this started filming, it was rumored that Mike had a crush on Rainie which made Rainie feel uncomfortable around him.

oh well.. I'm not sure though and I don't want to be starting rumors..

I acutally read the manga before i saw the drama...and i think that those two protrayed the characters really well...and yep Mike is so cute!!!...gotta love his smile^^

Ah Meng come back one year later.. & stage a kidnap.. kidnap Xiao Yue..
Nobody help her: Parents busy with the new baby boy.. Yuan Yi & Qing Zi's dad challenging with wine..Qing Zi with them..
When Xiao Yue took away her blindfold.. there a 'fire' christmas tree (that day is christmas) waiting for her.. & then come phone ringing.. She answer her handphone & saw Ah Meng a short distance away with his phone.. He says Wo Hui Lai Le. Xiao Yue smiled happily. Ah Meng ran towards her & they kissed throughout till the end.

lol yep theres a manga^^...i think the only reason they had mike put his hair up with bobby pins in his hair was to get him to look more like the character in the manga...otherwise Mike looks so pretty with his hair down <3 ^^

I didn't like the story line either but I like Mike He in it and he is very cute. Yeah I read somewhere that Mike He was going out with Rainee to get the chemistry going for this role. but I don't think they much chemistry betweet them than Mike He and Arial.

most dramas adapted from mangas are good :D so i'll pick this one up too
